I got this jacket a couple of weeks back for the bargain price of £1.95 in one of the charity shops near work when they were having a half off day. I had this same jacket a few years ago (in two sizes larger) but got rid of it when it no longer really fit me. I don’t have another denim jacket in my wardrobe and always loved the shape of this one so when I saw it I couldn’t leave without it, especially for less than £2.
Last night I went to step class at the gym, did the ironing and watched a couple of episodes of Lost. We’re nearly at the end of season 1 now and I expect it to start getting silly at any point.
This morning when I got to work the fire alarm was ringing, the burglar alarm was ringing and all the doors and windows were open with a large fan in the doorway. Someone had accidentally triggered the burglar alarm and we have smoke boxes which activate to disorientate any intruder. Of course filling the room with smoke set off the fire alarm and as we are linked directly to the fire station, the fire brigade turned out. I missed the fire men (and apparently there was actually an attractive one – which never happens, they’re always better looking in the movies and on TV than in reality) but there was still smoke in the building when I arrived and the noise was terrific. But at least we know the system is working correctly and it wasn’t too long before the smoke cleared and the alarms were reset.
I am quite pleased with these shoes – they are such a pop of spring colour and without really trying I have managed to get in on the neon trend as they are so bright (they are brighter and less orange in real life than they look here). Plus they are super comfy LK Bennett wedges.
Oh, and these are my other new glasses!
