Cold Feet

I think I have found the key to staying warm in the office (yes, I know it’s July but I am cold all the time, all year round. And also: it's raining). Yesterday I wore boots and was toasty warm, despite being in a ¾ sleeve cardi. Today I have bare feet in my shoes and even thought my top is made of (fine) wool, I have been cold all morning. So perhaps I should stick to boots and socks until the sun comes out again.

  1. I always think back to what they told us at school about body heat - the majority is lost through extremities. That's why a hat and pair of decent gloves make such a difference in winter. Obviously you can't cover your hands at work (though last year I did buy fingerless gloves to wear in the office, it got that bad!) but you're right about your feet - if they're warm the rest of you will be warmer!

  2. I have a kind of opposite problem, I hate my feet being too hot! Although they were cold and wet this morning - not good!!

  3. I always used to FREEZE in the office. A/C in big offices is out of control

  4. Oh, this works for me too, which is why I ended up being furry Ugg-alike slippers a couple of winters ago. They make me look like bigfoot, but they really keep me warm, and like you, I'm always freezing...
